Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has sadly confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold is suffering from a hamstring problem.
The defender has picked up an injury, and that means he will miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Nottingham Forest this weekend, while he also won’t be playing for England in the upcoming international break.

Klopp gave an update on his right-back.
“Trent is out with a hamstring, so will not be a part of England as well. Not good news, we will see how long it takes. Mo felt his foot a little bit after the game so we will have to see what we do with that, and on top of that there are some other bits and bobs, so we will have to wait,” Klopp said.
Not the worst timing
While any injury to a player like Alexander-Arnold isn’t ideal, this could be so much worse for Liverpool.
There is an international break on the horizon, and this will give the full-back a chance to rest and recover without missing too many games for Liverpool.
Of course, we don’t know exactly when the defender will be back, but if this injury came during a period where fixtures were congested, it would be so much worse.
Let’s just hope that Alexander-Arnold is back for that crucial clash against Manchester City next month.
