Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been key in convincing Ryan Gravenberch to move to Anfield from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported on Twitter that Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal with Bayern Munich to sign Ryan Gravenberch.

Plettenberg has claimed that Gravenberch will undergo a medical at Liverpool on Friday.

The reporter has added that Klopp was “crucial” in the deal.

The Liverpool manager has convinced the £200,000-a-week (The Mirror) Netherlands international midfielder to make the move to Anfield, according to Plettenberg.

The Telegraph has reported that Liverpool have been tracking Gravenberch and have beaten Manchester United to the signing of the midfielder.

Gravenberch is one of the best young players in Europe, and we believe that he would be a very good signing for Liverpool.

If Klopp thinks that the Dutchman would make his Liverpool midfield better, then the Anfield faithful should have optimism about Gravenberch.

The 21-year-old struggled to make a huge impact at Bayern last season and did not get enough playing time to show what he is capable of.

The midfielder made three starts and 21 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga and made two starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Bavarian giants last season.
