It was reported earlier today that Mo Salah was an injury doubt for Liverpool on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side restart their season with a visit to Everton for a behind-closed-doors Merseyside derby.

But according to The Standard, Liverpool could be without their star player after the Egypt international missed training at Melwood on Thursday.

But the Reds boss, in a roundabout way, has appeased the supporters’ fears over Salah’s fitness and insisted that nobody has been ruled out of the clash at Goodison Park.

He told the club’s official website: “In the moment, nobody really is ruled out for Sunday, but we have to see.

“A few trained more, a few trained less, most trained all [sessions], so that’s good news and in the end we will have a good team on the pitch, 100 per cent.”

Manchester City’s win over Arsenal on Wednesday means that Liverpool cannot win the Premier League this weekend.

But they can further confirm what’s been a foregone conclusion for virtually the entire year and that is that they’re going to be champions.

Klopp’s side have a 22-point cushion over City and with or without Salah, they’ll look to move one step closer to a first-ever Premier league title on Sunday.
