Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Naby Keita is in the final stages of his rehabilitation from injury.
Keita has not played for Liverpool since he turned out against Crystal Palace on December 19, 2020.
Klopp has said that the 25-year-old central midfielder has been suffering from a hamstring injury, and that the Guinea international is in the final stages of his recovery.
The German told Liverpool’s official website about Keita: “It was a hamstring, a slightly bigger one. He is back on the pitch but not with the team yet.
“He is in individual training sessions – hard training sessions. It is the final stages of his rehab, but [he is] still not there.”

Encouraging for Liverpool fans
Keita has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The midfielder has also played twice in the Champions League for the defending English champions so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
The former RB Leipzig star has not really made an impact this season, and if he is able to recover soon, then it would be a massive help for the Reds.
Liverpool are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, and the Merseyside club – who won the league title in 2019-20 – will hope that they go all the way in the Champions League.
