Liverpool ace Joe Gomez is becoming a key player in the Liverpool side.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his defender Joe Gomez has huge potential, while stating that teammate Virgil van Dijk is an excellent partner to have at centre-back alongside him.
Gomez has played every minute of the Premier League so far this season and is cementing his place in the side during the injury absence of Dejan Lovren.
The 21-year-old England international is a highly-rated talent at Anfield and is beginning to turn in consistent top-level performances.
Liverpool travel to Tottenham this weekend in their next league encounter and Klopp has praised his defender prior to the fixture.
“Joe has big potential, I’m happy, but more interested in his performance tomorrow [against Spurs]. We have to deliver week in, week out,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by the Mirror.
“Both [Gomez and Van Dijk] like each other. It’s a good relationship. They like to play together. Virgil’s presence helps. If Joe is not a fantastic footballer, it would not help. If you play with Van Dijk, it wouldn’t work.”

Klopp has challenged Gomez to keep up his form for an extended period of time and he may have even laid down the gauntlet for the weekend.
The youngster has looked impressive so far this season, but is yet to come up against a team of Spurs’ quality and may still need to prove himself against the very best.
He will get the chance to defend against England teammate Harry Kane at Wembley and that will be a huge test to see how far he’s progressed.
Gomez cost Liverpool just £3.5million (BBC) from Charlton back in 2015 and that looks an immense bargain right now.
