Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his honest verdict on protests from Manchester United fans at Old Trafford, as quoted in The Liverpool Echo.

The Premier League game between United and Liverpool at Old Trafford was postponed due to protests from the Red Devils’ fans at the ground.

As reported by Sky Sports, United fans went inside the stadium to express their unhappiness at the way the club is being run.

The situation led the game to be postponed, and Liverpool manager Klopp has given his take on it this afternoon.

The Liverpool Echo quotes Klopp as saying: “We saw some pictures to see what was going on. Surprised to see it happen? No. I am a believer in democracy. I am happy people to tell their opinion. But I know this doesn’t happen often that no-one is hurt.

“I heard some police were injured and these things should not happen. To break down the doors and stuff. It was not completely peaceful and then it was not right anymore.”

One can understand why United fans are not happy with the Glazer family and the way they are running the club.

The fact that the Red Devils wanted to form the European Super League did not sit well with the fans.

However, it was a bit too much for the supporters to actually get inside Old Trafford and force the game to be postponed.

It should have been more peaceful, and the fans should have stayed outside the stadium and made their opinion known.

The throwing of flares and beer cans was also unsavoury. If United fans want to protest again, then they must do it a different way and ensure that games are not postponed.
