Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that James Milner is ready to play against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend.

The Reds will take on Brighton away from home in the league on Saturday.

Ahead of the game, Klopp has said that Milner has recovered from his injury problems and is training normally.

The £120,000-a-week (SalarySport) former Manchester City and Leeds United star is available to play against Brighton.

Klopp said on Friday: “Millie, yesterday, did big parts of training and will be back in normal training today.”

Encouraging

In our view, James Milner being available for Liverpool against Brighton and Hove Albion is a huge boost to the Reds’ chances of picking up all three points from the encounter on Saturday.

Now, we know that Milner is not getting any younger, but the former Newcastle United star is a reliable figure who always does a job when he is called into action.

It remains to be seen where Milner starts, if indeed the Liverpool star is included in the starting lineup.

Liverpool are now unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but the former UEFA Champions League winners are very much in the running for the top four.
