Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, as quoted on Sky Sports.

Klopp believes that the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder and the RB Leipzig striker are “great” players.

According to The Mirror, Werner is on the verge of joining Chelsea from Leipzig despite interest in the 24-year-old Germany international from Liverpool.

Goal.com has claimed that Havertz – who can also operate as a winger – is on the radar of Liverpool, with The Mirror adding that Klopp rates the 20-year-old highly who is valued at more than £80 million by Bayer.

Sky Sports quotes Klopp as saying: “There are a lot of good players on this planet. Timo Werner is a great player, Kai Havertz is a great player.”

Kai Havertz to Liverpool?

While it seems that Werner is going to join Chelsea, there is still a chance that Havertz could be at Liverpool next season.

Of course, it remains to be seen if Liverpool are willing to spend £80m+ on a single player this summer amid the economic problems in the world of football caused by the global health football, but there is a chance, as anything is possible in the transfer market.

There is no doubt that the Germany international would be a very good signing for the Reds, not just for now, but in the long run as well.
