Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool will face each other in the Premier League today.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested to The Birmingham Mail that Wolverhampton Wanderers did really well to keep hold of their best players in the summer transfer window.

Wolves won automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season.

The Wanderers were the best team in the second tier of English football last season and played some wonderful football.

The likes of Ruben Neves, Conor Coady and Willy Boly all stunned fans in the Championship last season, and Wolves signed Joao Moutinho and Rui Patrício in the summer of 2018.

Klopp told The Birmingham Mail about Wolves: “It hasn’t surprised me at all. I seen them in the Championship last season. It’s really impressive what they did.

“They’ve kept really good players. It’s not normal after the season they played so it was really cool for them and they bought in really good players.”

Tricky game

Liverpool will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Wolves away from home at Molineux Stadium.

The Wanderers are in a good form at the moment, and so are Liverpool, meaning that this evening’s game promises to be a hugely exciting and entertaining game of football.

One should not surprised if Wolves manage to get the better of Liverpool at home this evening.
