Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praises Ben Woodburn.

Manager Jurgen Klopp speaks to the media during the Liverpool FC Press Conference at Anfield on August 22, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club website he is impressed with young talent Ben Woodburn.

Woodburn is with the rest of the squad on a Spanish training camp after their Champions League win at Porto.

The 18-year-old is patiently waiting for a first opportunity but the prolific form of Liverpool’s attackers is making it difficult for him to break through.

Nonetheless manager Jurgen Klopp believes Woodburn does not look out of place.

Praising the young Wales international, Klopp said: “They are all strong enough. You see Ben Woodburn in a session like this, you forget all the time how old he is.”

Liverpool’s 5-0 win in Porto could work in Woodburn’s favour in the return leg.

Jurgen Klopp has the option of rotating his side or just playing his star men for 45 minutes and this could lead to an opportunity for Woodburn.

The teenager must continue to impress his manager and show he deserves a shot, but he is not the only attacker hoping for opportunities.

Danny Ings, Dominic Solanke and Adam Lallana are all desperate for game time and unfortunately for Woodburn, he is at the back of the queue.
