Liverpool could welcome back Xherdan Shaqiri this weekend.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Xherdan Shaqiri is now ‘much better’ and could feature against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The Reds have seen the majority of their first team squad head off in international duty over the last week, but that can’t be said of winger Shaqiri.
Shaqiri was named in the Switzerland squad but pulled out because of a groin injury, adding to the recent struggles of the former Stoke City winger.
Fans have been hugely confused of late, as Shaqiri has barely featured in 2019, making just seven appearances, which has included only three starts.
Shaqiri now hasn’t played for more than a month, and fans have been left baffled by his absence, wondering just where on earth the Swiss ace has gone.
Pulling out of the Switzerland squad has given Shaqiri time to get back to full fitness, and he may well be back in a Liverpool shirt this weekend, when Tottenham Hotspur visit Anfield.

Now, boss Klopp has admitted that Shaqiri is ‘much better’ and has returned to training, even if he isn’t at full tilt right now, and believes he ‘should be fine’ to be included against Spurs.
“[He is] good, much better,” said Klopp. “Shaq, since a couple of weeks, has had some problems with the groin. He trained, not how he could train, but was still in the squad and all that stuff because we didn’t have a lot of options. Now he feels better day by day and should be fine for the weekend,” he added.
