Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told Goal that there is ‘no chance’ that Fabinho will be facing West Ham United today.
The Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 on Thursday night, turning in a superb display to get back on track following some shaky displays.
This came despite defensive woes again; Joel Matip was substituted early with yet another injury whilst Fabinho missed out entirely.
The Brazilian midfielder has been filling in at centre back since Virgl van Dijk and Joe Gomez went down with major injuries early this season, performing admirably at centre back.
His absence has subsequently left Liverpool fans very worried, with Klopp’s centre back options seemingly dwindling by the week.
Some have been hoping that Fabinho will manage to make it back in time to face West Ham today, but Klopp has no confirmed there is ‘no chance’.

Klopp believes there is at least some hope that Fabinho will be back to face Manchester City in the Premier League next week, but his scan hadn’t been completed when the German spoke to the press on Saturday.
“There are still glimpse of hope that it’s not that serious,” said Klopp. “We don’t have the final result because the scan didn’t happen yet, so we’ll know more in three or four hours, hopefully. No chance for the weekend,” he added.
