Tottenham Hotspur have kept the Premier League title race still alive after winning 2-0 against Arsenal in the north London derby clash on Sunday.
Goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the second half sealed three points for Maurico Pochettino’s side.
With that victory, Spurs have now won their last nine games in the Premier League, and will finish above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years.
The victory meant a lot for the Spurs fans and the players as it was the last north London derby played at the White Hart Lane.
Jurgen Klinsmann, the former Tottenham striker, took to Twitter to express his reaction:
Klinsmann, a legendary German footballer, was a former Tottenham striker and a fan favourite. He played one completed season for Spurs (1994-95) and scored 21 goals in the league and 30 in all competitions.
In 1997-98, he played briefly for Spurs again on loan where he scored nine goals for the north London club, including four against Wimbledon.
Chelsea are still leading the Premier League by four points with four games still left to play. Pochettino is still hopeful that there could still a late twist in the tale.
