Junior Firpo joins Leeds United
Leeds have announced on their official website today that they have signed Junior Firpo from Barcelona.
The 24-year-old Spanish left-back has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club.
The defender has said that he spoke to Leeds star Rodrigo before his move.
The Spain international told Junior Firpo to make the move to Elland Road.
Junior Firpo has also disclosed the conversation he had with Leeds Director of Football Victor Orta.
The Athletic has reported that Orta spent time in isolation in Spain to meet up with the left-back.

Junior Firpo told Leeds’s official website: “I spoke to Rodrigo because Diego Llorente is with the national team now and he is focused with them.
“So I spoke to Rodrigo and he told me to come here and play with us, he said it will be really nice.”
The left-back added: “This summer for me, there was many clubs interested. But when Victor Orta spoke with me and showed me the project, I said ‘wow, this is interesting, they really want me’.
“In this moment, I said ok I want to go to Leeds. The people said to me that a full Elland Road is incredible. I want to see this!”

Exciting times ahead
Junior Firpo is a very good left-back. After all, you do not get signed by a club like Barcelona unless you are a quality footballer.
Rodrigo urging his Spanish compatriot to move to Leeds shows the impression that the club have made on him.
Former Valencia star Rodrigo joined Leeds only last summer, and it seems that he is enjoying his time at Elland Road.
