Jamie Carragher has raved about Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min on Sky Sports.
The former Liverpool star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Son has “jumped up now” to world-class level.
Carragher has also mentioned the South Korea international in the same sentence as Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
The Englishman told Sky Sports: “But what I would say is, that position, the left-sided attacker is the strongest position in the league and where the best players are. For the last two or three years, you’ve had Mane and Raheem Sterling who have been as good as anything in the world in that position.
“Eden Hazard just dropped off at Real Madrid and Neymar is obviously a top player, but I think Marcus Rashford and Son have jumped up now as well. Rashford’s a super player and Son this season has just edged the others, but they are four probably world-class players.
“Maybe Rashford is just slightly under trying to get into that next bracket but I do think we’ve got the best in the world in that position in the Premier League.”
World-class footballer
Son has established himself as one of the best players in the current Tottenham team and is a world-class footballer.
The 28-year-old is scoring goals for fun at the moment and is also providing assists for his teammates.
The South Korea international has pace, is brilliant with his shooting and is also able to get past players.
According to WhoScored, Son has scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 14 Premier League matches and has scored two goals and given one assist in 216 minutes in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the forward scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in the league and scored five goals and gave one assist in the Champions League for the North London club, according to WhoScored.
