Aiden McGeady has left Everton to join Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Julio Arca has stated on social networking site Twitter that Aiden McGeady could be a key player for Sunderland during the 2017-18 campaign.
Championship club Sunderland recently completed the signing of McGeady from Premier League outfit Everton in the summer transfer window.
According to Press Association Sport, the Black Cats had to pay the Toffees a transfer fee of £500,000 in order to secure the services of the Republic of Ireland international winger.
Sunderland manager Simon Grayson knows McGeady well, having worked with the former Celtic star at Championship club Preston North End last season.

The former Spartak Moscow winger spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Championship side Preston, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists in 34 league appearances in the process.
Former Sunderland star Arca has stated on Twitter that McGeady could be a key player for Sunderland next season.
The Black Cats will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
