It has been reported that Julian Nagelsmann, who has been highly touted to become the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur has had talks with Chelsea.

Journalist Alasdair Gold said on Wednesday that if the former Bayern Munich manager is high up on Spurs’ list of candidates to take the job.

But now, there seems to be a twist in the tale as Julian Nagelsmann, who seems dead set to many to become the Tottenham Hotspur manager has engaged in contacts with Chelsea.

Tottenham manager target Nagelsmann has Chelsea talks

Branded as ‘gifted’ by former Tottenham boss Martin Job, the 35-year-old is deemed by fans and pundits alike as the perfect man to sort out the mess in N17.

As Spurs find themselves in a rare position of having a realistic chance of appointing the ex-RB Leipzig tactician, it seems as if their biggest rivals are also plotting on bringing him in.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has said that Tottenham manager target Julian Nagelsmann has had ‘positive contacts’ with Chelsea over potentially joining them.

Additionally, Galetti stated that alongside Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, who has also been linked as a possible contender to become the next Tottenham manager is on their shortlist if Graham Potter gets sacked.

Tottenham should be wary of the Blues’ interest

Regardless of whether one has any faith in Todd Boehly’s project at Stamford Bridge, what cannot be questioned is his ambition for the club.

The American owner has made headlines by splashing the clash on a number of players in the January transfer window.

The same cannot be said about Daniel Levy at Tottenham, which is why if given a choice, it would be a fair assumption to make that Julian Nagelsmann may fancy becoming the next Chelsea manager instead.

Unless the Lilywhites pitch a project that could deliver success, this serves as a reminder that the revered coach has plenty of options.
