Liverpool should be looking to rescue Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler in January.

Liverpool have been picking up plenty of wins this season, but Jurgen Klopp does have some issues with his side, as performances haven’t quite been as dazzling as he would hope.
The Reds’ fab three in attack – Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino – have shown glimpses of their exceptional quality, but haven’t hit top gear in recent weeks.
Many believe that the thing Liverpool are lacking is a real playmaker from midfield, as Philippe Coutinho hasn’t truly been replaced since his January move to Barcelona.
Fans have been suggesting various attacking midfielders to sign in January, and one man Klopp should consider is fellow Germany Julian Draxler.
Le10 Sport note that Draxler is considering his future with Paris Saint-Germain, as he has started just three games in Ligue 1 or the Champions League this season.
Draxler is still just 25 despite having seemingly been around forever, and having failed to earn a major role under Thomas Tuchel this season, January may be the time for him to move on.

Liverpool attempted to land Draxler from Wolfsburg in 2017, but as reported by the Liverpool Echo, he chose PSG instead – and commented that his decision wasn’t down to Klopp.
Adept in a midfield three, as a 10 or out wide, Draxler has the ideal versatility Liverpool are looking for, whilst he is two footed, skilful and can score goals from midfield – just what Liverpool need to replace Coutinho.
His Champions League ineligibility is a concern, but in terms of being a proven player with untapped potential and a desire to move on in January, Draxler – no stranger to Klopp having both been in the Bundesliga – may be the perfect target in January.
