Spain international midfielder Ander Herrera has been at Manchester United since 2014.

Spain national football team head coach Julen Lopetegui has told The Guardian that Ander Herrera has evolved at Manchester United.

Herrera has been at United since the summer of 2014 when he joined them from Athletic Bilbao for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £29 million.

The 27-year-old has not always been guaranteed a place in the Red Devils’ starting lineup, but he remains a key player in the squad.

The Spanish midfielder arrived at Old Trafford with a strong reputation, and the former Real Zaragoza man has done quite well so far.

Spain national football team head coach Lopetegui has praised Herrera and has highlighted his evolvement at United.

“He’s a good player who has evolved; he’s intelligent and has adapted to what coaches have asked, surviving in a very physical football,” Lopetegui told The Guardian about Herrera. “He’s bringing together a team like Manchester United from the middle and playing well.”
