Jude Bellingham has told Sky Sports – as per Football Daily – that Tottenham star Harry Kane is a “louder” captain than Borussia Dortmund skipper Marco Reus, with the German preferring to “oversee” things from a distance.

Kane, 29, is set to remain at Tottenham for the 2022-23 campaign after another brilliant season in which he played a crucial part in Spurs reaching the top four. He could face Dortmund next season, after they finished second last term.

Reus, 33, is just as loved and admired at Dortmund – like Kane is at Spurs. Although not a Dortmund product, he has now been at the club for 10 seasons. In his 356 appearances for Dortmund, he has clocked up 153 goals.

Comparing his two captains – Kane for England, and £164,000-a-week ace Reus at Dortmund – Bellingham said that Kane is louder. He also praised the Spurs star, and Reus, for delivering on the big occasions.

“I’d probably say Harry is a bit louder to be fair.” Bellingham said. “Marco oversees everything and allocates it to the other players. But when he does need to speak, he always says the right things.

“Same with Harry. They always lead by example and they’re two really good players. They’re delivering in important moments. They’re always looking after everyone, always making sure everyone is sweet.”

Bellingham: Tottenham star Kane ‘louder’ than Reus

Kane is going to remain Tottenham captain for a large part of Bellingham’s England career – there is no doubt about that. But Reus might not be his Dortmund skipper for much longer, with his contract expiring next summer.

What is for sure, is that Bellingham might end up replacing Reus sooner rather than later in terms of wearing the armband. In the future, he might even replace Kane as England captain – he certainly has all the attributes to do so.
