Erling Haaland has posted on Instagram after the Manchester City star scored an incredible five goals during a 7-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday – prompting reaction from Jude Bellingham and Manuel Akanji.
Haaland, 22, broke a number of records on Tuesday night as Manchester City blew Leipzig away at The Etihad. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in Germany. Pep Guardiola and City will have been expecting a tricky test against Leipzig.
But, they blew Marco Rose’s side away. Haaland, the difference. His finishing inside the penalty area was simply superb. He took his tally to 39 goals – becoming Manchester City’s all-time top goalscorer in one season. It is only mid-March.
As he continues to grow at City, the Norwegian is easily on track to reach 50 goals in all competitions before the end of the season. He took to Instagram after his mind-boggling display, in which the ex-Dortmund star scored five times.

Pundits, fans, football writers and the rest are running out of superlatives to throw at Haaland – and rightly so. The big striker is ripping up pre-season misconceptions that City may struggle in adapting to suit the star addition this term.
