Everton are reported to be close to securing a deal for Boca Juniors defender Frank Fabra.
Colombian outlet Futbolete report a move is close, while CalcioNapoli24 claim a £4.5 million fee has already been agreed.
Fabra, 27, is an accomplished player who is set to star at this summer’s World Cup.
The left-back is an exciting footballer who has the admiration of former Argentina maestro Juan Roman Riquelme.
The Boca legend told Argentine outlet Clarin this season that he regarded Fabra as the club’s most dangerous player.
Riquelme said: “He is very important, he is the most direct and destabilising player in attack.
“When he has a good day, he makes more trouble than Pavón.”
Riquelme was referencing winger Cristian Pavon, who is valued at upwards of £30 million and was linked by Goal to Arsenal back in January.
He also included returning hero Carlos Tevez in his assessment, determining that Fabra’s qualities outweigh the former Premier League attackers’.
Fabra has only one year remaining on his current contract at Boca Juniors.
In 19 games for Boca this past season he has scored twice and provided three assists.
