Spurs have completed the signing of the 17-year-old Colombian, following his release from Brentford.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of 17-year-old Colombian winger Juan Pablo Gonzalez-Velasco, with the player retweeting a picture of himself signing at the club on his Twitter account and Sky Sports reporting the news.
Though there is no official word from the club yet, Spurs finally seem to have added to their player intake this summer. But unfortunately for supporters hoping to see the first team improved, it is a promising youngster rather than someone set to make an immediate impact.
The Sky Sports report does suggest that a number of Premier League and Championship clubs were also tracking the Colombia youth international, who had been on the books at Brentford’s academy before it closed this year, and Gonzalez-Velasco was on trial at Burnley in July.
But with the player pictured in Tottenham kit and with pen and contract at hand, it looks very much like the North Londoners have been the outfit who have managed to sign him up.
Gonzalez-Velasco has already featured for Tottenham’s under-18 side too, taking part in last weekend’s 5-1 demolition of Aston Villa as shown by the club website, with the youngster coming on in the 68th minute.

Spurs have so far brought in Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen, but with a number of first team players departing on permanent and loan deals, fans will be certainly hoping the Colombian isn’t the club’s last piece of recruitment of the transfer window.
