Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side managed to earn promotion back to the Premier League yesterday.
Juan Pablo Angel has celebrated Aston Villa’s return to the Premier League on social media website Instagram.
Villa secured their promotion back to the top flight yesterday, after they beat Derby County at Wembley.
And their former striker, Angel, was delighted to celebrate Villa’s success.
Villa’s win over Derby was thoroughly deserved, as they were they better team for much of the contest.
The Rams threatened late on, but it was too little too late as Villa held out to claim victory.
Anwar El Ghazi had headed Villa into the lead in the first-half, before John McGinn capitalised on a goalkeeping error to add a second.
Derby did pull a goal back after Martyn Waghorn deflected in Jack Marriott’s goal bound shot, but Dean Smith’s side showed their resilience to hang on and claim victory.
Villa have already spoken about their ambitious plans to take the Premier League by storm following their promotion, with Smith set to have money to spend this summer.
