Tottenham defender impressed despite defeat.

Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the FA Cup after a disappointing performance at Selhurst Park.
There were disappointing performances from senior players in particular Kieran Trippier and Fernando Llorente.
One player who shone in the 2-0 loss was defender Juan Foyth.
This was a tricky game for Foyth to come into, making his first appearance since January 4.
Spurs were up against it after conceding an early goal and Foyth found himself having to deal regularly with tricky Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha.
To his credit the young Argentine stood up to everything Zaha threw at him and held his own.

He made three tackles and two interceptions, in each case higher than any fellow Tottenham defender.
Foyth also blocked one shot and made one clearance, completing 87 per cent of his passes.
Even despite his recent lack of action, Foyth looked as good as ever, and put some of his teammates to shame.
It’s not easy for Foyth to break into Tottenham’s defence with Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez in front of him.
The 21-year-old showed against Palace that when he is needed, he will continue to be ready to step up.
