The Argentine had the choice of moving to Tottenham Hotspur or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017.

When speaking exclusively to ESPN, Tottenham ace Juan Foyth shared why he chose to join the north London club instead of Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentine also opened up on what Mauricio Pochettino told him before he signed on the dotted line with Spurs.
The 21-year-old joined Tottenham from Estudiantes in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth £8 million, according to BBC Sport.
Tottenham were not the only club in for Foyth, however, with ESPN reporting that French giants PSG wanted to sign the talented centre-back, before he eventually chose to link up with Pochetitno’s side instead.
The 21-year-old explained the numerous factors that convinced him that Spurs was the right club for him to join 18 months ago, when speaking exclusively to ESPN:

“More than anything I decided on Tottenham because there was an Argentinian manager and support team – or they can speak Spanish – and because it was a club that supported young players a lot. Also, I had the chance to talk to Mauricio and he told me I had very good features but that he was going to improve that.”
It hasn’t all been plain sailing for Foyth over the past year-and-a-half, however.
He has made just 17 appearances for Tottenham, and has looked rather naive when he has played.
The Argentine is still young, however, and he still has plenty of time to prove himself at Spurs.
