Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth made his international debut for Argentina against Mexico this week.

Foyth made his senior debut for Argentina in their friendly international against Mexico this week.
The South American giants won 2-0, with the 20-year-old central defender playing brilliantly at the back and winning the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
There were doubts on whether the youngster could make his debut against Mexico, with the Tottenham ace having suffered a facial injury following a collision with Argentina international teammate Walter Kannemann in training.
Foyth has played down the seriousness of the injury which required six stitches.
AS quotes Foyth as saying: “It was a collision with a teammate. They gave me some stitches, but I’m fine.”

Easing Tottenham Hotspur’s worries
Foyth has been playing for the Tottenham first team in recent weeks, and the Argentine will develop into a key figure in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
Spurs will need the 20-year-old as the season progressed, and the North London club’s fan will be pleased that the injury that the younger suffered during training is not serious.
