Tottenham have a bright talent on their hands.
Juan Foyth is proving once again that Tottenham Hotsp
ur do not need to pay premium prices to find top talent.
Foyth signed for Spurs for around just £10 million from Estudiantes a year ago with Tottenham battling off competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs have been very patient with the young centre-back, who is only 20.
Over the past few weeks they have put him into the first team and he is blossoming.
Foyth is composed, he reads the game well, and he has also begun to start dealing with the physical demands of the Premier League well.
The youngster is an exciting prospect who seems set to blossom at the club over the next four to five seasons.
Foyth’s transfer value could rocket too, and if a side wanted to convince Spurs to sell, they would have to make a substantial offer at this point based on his future potential.
It was in 2015 that Mauricio Pochettino sanctioned Spurs moving for Dele Alli for just £5 million. It was one of the club’s best ever bargains.
Likewise also in 2015, Spurs bought Toby Alderweireld for £10 million.
In recent seasons they have begun spending more substantially, buying Davinson Sanchez for £42 million and Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura for nearly £50 million combined.
The bargain swoop for Foyth shows Tottenham still have an eye for a bargain, and they should try to put this into practice again in January.
