Tottenham Hotspur are trying to sign Nathan Ake from Bournemouth, according to reports.
Nathan Ake’s addition at Tottenham Hotspur could be a concern for Juan Foyth and Cameron Carter-Vickers, if it was to happen.
The Daily Star claim that Spurs are set to attempt to sign Ake from Bournemouth in January.
And if Mauricio Pochettino does bring in Ake, then Spurs’ other young defenders should be concerned.
Foyth and Carter-Vickers have both shown signs of potential, but if Ake is brought in there must be worries over their first-team chances for the future.
Spurs already have Davinson Sanchez, who is set to become a mainstay in their side for the years ahead.
If Ake was to arrive too, then Spurs could have their centre-back pairing for the next decade, considering the defenders’ respective ages.
And Foyth and Carter-Vickers could be forgiven for asking if they are ever going to get their first-team chance, if Tottenham do bring in Ake during the January transfer window
