Tottenham Hotspur signed Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Colombia international central defender Sanchez left Atletico Nacional for Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2017.
The 21-year-old was a huge success during his time in Amsterdam and established himself as one of the best young defenders in Europe.
The performances of the youngster in the Europa League last season were brilliant.

Tottenham signed the centre-back from Ajax in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £42 million.
Sanchez is playing well for Spurs at the moment and has settled in perfectly in Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
Mexico coach Osorio worked with Sanchez at Atletico Nacional, and he has revealed the advice he gave to the youngster when he had to make a choice between Ajax and Barcelona in the summer of 2015.

“I remember him calling me and asking if he should go to Ajax or Barcelona, who were also interested,” Osorio told Sky Sports.
“I just thought the best thing for him was to play football, and maybe in Barcelona he would not get playing time, he would be a sub.
“That is what he decided to do and then he went to Holland. He played a very good season and Tottenham decided to go for him.”
