Liverpool need to beat Burnley tomorrow to keep the pressure up on Manchester City above them in the table.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Burnley tomorrow night, and shared news of a potential double blow for his side, with Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson both injury doubts, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

The Reds currently sit in second place in the Premier League table, two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, and many are expecting them to push Pep Guardiola’s men all the way this season.

Both Mane and Robertson have been in superb form this season, playing a key role in Liverpool’s fine start to the campaign, so losing either of them for any amount of time will obviously be a real blow for Klopp.

The German spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and shared how two of his key men might be missing for their clash with Burnley tomorrow, as quoted by the Daily Mail:

“Sadio and Robbo we need to have another look today. Sadio has an awful cut on his foot, it’s been stitched. He’s walking in flip flops but we don’t play in flip flops.”

Liverpool do have a really strong squad, and will have top level players coming in for Mane and Robertson, if the pair are in fact not ready for the game at Turf Moor.

They will be greatly missed, however, nonetheless.
