Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp raved about the potential of Rhian Brewster, when speaking to reporters yesterday, suggesting that the door to the first-team is wide open for the teenager, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
The 19-year-old Reds striker has only recently returned to action for the under-23 side, having been absent for the entire season due to a serious injury.
Brewster has real quality, that cannot be debated, but his chances of forcing his way into the Liverpool first-team will surely be limited to say the least, what with the quality that Klopp currently has at his disposal.
The German insisted that Brewster has every chance of forcing his way into the first-team, however, when speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:
“It was good. We watched it here in the office, and [it was] good to see. It’s nice having him in training. Good to have him back. [It was his] birthday this week, 19 years old, crazy, so much to come. It’s only: get him fit, keep him fit and then the door is wide open for him.”
The 19-year-old will be hoping to finish the season strongly for Liverpool’s under-23’s, and then force his way into Klopp’s plans for next term.
That will be far easier said than done, however.
