The Liverpool striker has struggled since moving to Anfield three years ago.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp spoke to reporters last night after his side’s friendly clash with Torino, and hinted that Danny Ings might still have a role to play for his side this season, as quoted by the Express.
The 26-year-old joined the Reds on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer of 2015, but he has desperately failed to establish himself at Anfield, making just six Premier League starts for the Merseyside outfit.
Ings has suffered horrendous luck with injuries, however, and it is maybe unfair to judge him as a complete failure, considering the amount of time that he has spent on the sidelines.
Klopp has an almost irreplaceable front three at his disposal at Liverpool, but should one of them suffer an injury or receive a suspension, the German has little in reserve apart from Ings and Danirl Sturridge.
The Reds boss spoke to reporters last night and hinted that the former Burnley man could still have a part to play at Liverpool this season, as quoted by the Express:
“It was nice that Ingsy could play tonight. He has been fit for two or three weeks, it’s no problem but we didn’t want to go with any risk. A few things happened in the past but for a long time he has been fit. He was unlucky in a situation in the last game. Now you saw tonight one situation with one touch to bring it into the right position and still finishing – a typically Ingsy situation. I’m really happy for him.”

Ings’ future at Anfield remains uncertain, however, with numerous reports linking him with an exit.
According to the Telegraph, Newcastle, Southampton and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing the 26-year-old, so quite where he will be plying his trade next season remains a mystery.
