Dominic Iorfa has been one of Wolves’ top performers this season, with Walter Zenga’s side sitting in 12th.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ under-18s captain Cameron John has said he hopes to achieve similar things to first-team player Dominic Iorfa, during a Q&A on wolves.co.uk.
John and Iorfa’s paths to Wolves are similar, with both players joining the academy from Southend United, and seeing Iorfa star at Molineux is inspiration for the current youth side’s skipper.

When asked if Iorfa is someone he looks up to and aspires to be like, John told wolves.co.uk: “Of course. To see how well he is doing in the first team is great.
“Personally for me, going through similar steps, it is nice to see us being compared and hopefully I will be able to achieve the same sort of things as him.”
Wolves’ under-18s won their previous game, beating rivals West Bromwich Albion with a 94th-minute strike, while the senior squad have lost back-to-back Championship games, suffering defeats against Norwich and Wigan as they went into the international break.

Walter Zenga’s side sit in 12th place after 11 games, five points off the play-offs. The 21-year-old Iorfa has appeared in 10 of those games, and has had a strong start to the season under the Italian manager.
The young defender is currently part of the England under-21 side that beat Kazakhstan 1-0 on Thursday evening thanks to a goal from Leicester’s Demari Gray.
While John still has a long way to go in his career, it will be great to see a player likened to him doing so well, and it could be a sign of things to come in the future for the youngster.
