Stoke took the lead in the second half when summer signing Joe Allen put the Potters in front in the 73rd minute.

It looked as though Mark Hughes was going to pick up his first win of the new season, until Venezuelan forward Rondon struck.
The 27-year-old’s late header found the net in stoppage time to spoil Hughes’ afternoon and gift West Brom a point. The Baggies had limited opportunities in the game, sitting deep like they normally do away from home, and although they put in a better performance, Stoke were only able to breach the strong West Brom back-line once.

The draw lifts Stoke off the bottom of the table, while West Brom remain the top half in eighth.
Pulis’ 1001st game in management is against the team who are now bottom of the league, with his side heading to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland next week.
Rondon bagged his third goal of the season with the late strike, and West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate the late point.
