Stoke were knocked out of the EFL Cup after a stoppage time goal from Markus Henriksen gave Hull victory at the bet365 Stadium.
The Potters are currently bottom of the Premier League, and looked as though they were finally get their season going when Marko Arnautovic scored to put Mark Hughes’ side in front after 24 minutes.

Stoke looked like they were going to hold onto their lead until half time, but Ryan Mason scored his first Hull goal in the 45th minute to ensure the teams went in level at the break.
The home side dominated the tie, having 21 shots compared to the Tigers’ five, but it was Mike Phelan who was celebrating come full time, when summer signing Henriksen popped up in the box in the 91st minute to win the game for Hull.

Despite another defeat for Stoke, there was one positive, with the performance from 19-year-old Ramadan Sobhi pleasing the Potters faithful.
The Egyptian winger joined Stoke in the summer for a fee of £5 million from Al Ahly, and fans are now calling for the youngster to be involved in their team’s next Premier League game against West Brom.
Although Stoke lost the game 2-1, their fans have taken to Twitter to wax lyrical about the performance from Sobhi.
