The striker has had limited opportunities at Stoke City this season.
Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has been restricted to just three Premier League appearances this season, and has tweeted about his displeasure in a rather funny fashion.
A gamer directed a tweet at the former England international, stating that the big centre forward is causing a lot of problems for him while playing FIFA.
Crouch, ever the comedian, responded to the tweet, replying: “At least I’m getting a game somewhere.”
Despite a tough start, Mark Hughes has not turned to Crouch too often, playing just 107 minutes in a Potters shirt this season, with on-loan striker Wilfried Bony the preferred man to lead the Stoke line, despite failing to find the net at all since his move from Manchester City.
It was a surprise to see Crouch remain at the bet365 Stadium in the summer, but the forward was still a Stoke player when the transfer window closed.
With so many attacking players at Stoke these days, Crouch appears to have got lost in the shuffle, and with Hughes’ side starting to find some form, it could be even trickier for the former England international to get back into the starting line-up.
He may not be playing, but at least ‘Crouchy’ still has his sense of humour.
