The Canaries were in front against Newcastle, but ended up losing 4-3.

Norwich threw away a two goal lead at St James’ Park, losing 4-3 having been 3-1 ahead after 69 minutes.
Having dominated the opening stages of the game, Newcastle took the lead in the 24th minute through Dwight Gayle.
Alex Neil’s side were gifted a route back into the game on the stroke of half time when Yoan Gouffran committed a needless foul in the box, giving Graham Dorrans a chance to bring Norwich level from the spot. The Scot did just that, making it 1-1 a minute before half time.

Norwich started the second half quickly and went in front through Cameron Jerome, who curled the ball brilliantly past a despairing Karl Darlow.
It was 3-1 in the 69th minute. Jacob Murphy’s strike deflected off Jamaal Lascelles and into the net, but Newcastle pulled one back two minutes later when Gayle scored his second.
Newcastle found an equaliser in the 95th minute, with Gouffran’s header sending the St James’ Park crowd crazy. The home fans then went even crazier a minute later when Gayle found the net again to get his hat trick and make it 4-3 to Rafael Benitez’s men.
