The Italian striker is now plying his trade in Nice, having left Liverpool in the summer.

Former Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has said he only spoke to Jurgen Klopp once before leaving the club, speaking to Sky Italia.
The 26-year-old joined French club Nice on deadline day on a free transfer, having spent the previous season on loan at former club AC Milan after an unsuccessful first season on Merseyside.

The Italian has enjoyed a bright start at the Ligue 1 side, scoring five league goals so far, helping guide the club to the top of France’s top division.
With Balotelli seemingly settled at his new home, the controversial striker has been talking about his exit from Anfield.
“I was with him [Klopp] at Liverpool for one month and a half and I spoke with him just once,” Balotelli told Sky Italia.
“He told me that I could stay, but that I wasn’t first choice. He said he felt it was better if I went to play somewhere else to play well and then go back because he wanted me as a player. I said ‘arrivederci’ and told him he would never see me again.”

Balotelli returned to England in 2014 with Liverpool, but never got his career going again under Brendan Rodgers. The Nice striker first made waves in English football in 2010, joining Manchester City, where he won the Premier League, providing the assist for Sergio Aguero’s famous title winner.
While Balotelli has told current Liverpool boss Klopp that they will not be seeing each other again, it is hard to imagine that the German is worried by that, with his side starting the Premier League season in fine form, with his free flowing attackers scoring goals aplenty.
