We rate West Bromwich Albion’s player’s performances in their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ben Foster – 9
In the first half, Foster kept West Bromwich Albion in the game with a series of excellent stops. His save from Christian Eriksen’s free-kick in the second half may have been the best of the bunch.
Craig Dawson – 6
Spurs’ fluid attacking midfielders kept him busy and stopped him from linking up with Matt Phillips down the right.
Gareth McAuley – 7
Had an uncomfortable start to the game but dealt well with the physical presence of Vincent Janssen.
Jonny Evans – 7
Played some wonderful forward passes to set Albion on the counter attack. His calmness and quality on the ball is exactly what the Baggies need in these type of games.
Allan Nyom – 5
The Cameroonian defender had his toughest test in an Albion shirt. Like Dawson, he was unsettled by Spurs’ attacking midfield three and made some rash decisions.
Matt Phillips – 6
Never got into the game and was largely restricted to defensive duties. Replaced by Chris Brunt in the 69th minute.
Claudio Yacob – 6
It was a testing afternoon for Yacob up against Dele Alli and Eriksen. Did his usually effective job of breaking up play and protecting the back four.

James McClean – 8
Continues his good run of form and offered lots of energy down the left hand side. He carried the ball forward well and kept Kyle Walker occupied.
Nacer Chadli – 6
Victor Wanyama shielded Spurs back four and kept Chadli quiet for most of the game. However, he showed his value once again by popping up with the important opening goal.
Salomon Rondon – 6
Despite his international exploits, the Venezuelan forward turned in a typically hard working performance. Was almost handed a goal when Hugo Lloris spilled from McClean’s shot.
Chris Brunt (sub) – 6
Showed some good touches when he came on and caused Spurs problems with his delivery from corners.
Craig Gardner (sub) – 5
His introduction did not help Albion see out the game.
