Ahead of their game this weekend, we take a look at the last five fixtures between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Manchester United 1-2 Tottenham (1^st January, 2014 – Premier League)

Tottenham Hotspur leapfrogged Manchester United in the table, after their second consecutive win at Old Trafford.

Emmanuel Adebayor continued his revival under Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood by heading the visitors into a first-half lead. Christian Eriksen added a second for Spurs when he nodded home from close range.

United responded a minute later through Danny Welbeck, but it was not enough to prevent David Moyes’ side dropping to seventh in the table.

Tottenham 0-0 Manchester United (28^th December, 2014 – Premier League)

Tottenham extended their unbeaten run to five league games, with a goalless draw at home to Manchester United.

The visitors came closest to breaking the deadlock, as Juan Mata’s first half free-kick struck the post. There were also chances for Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Persie, but Hugo Lloris was in form to keep them out.

The draw kept United in third, while Tottenham sat five points behind in seventh.

Manchester United 3-0 Tottenham (15^th March, 2015 – Premier League)

A rampant first-half performance helped Manchester United dispose of Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Marouane Fellaini opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a low-strike past Lloris. Ex-Tottenham man Michael Carrick doubled their lead ten minutes later, when he headed home from a United corner.

Wayne Rooney put the game to bed by capitalising on a mistake from Nabil Bentaleb to finish past Lloris.

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham (8^th August, 2015 – Premier League)

Manchester United kicked off their season with a win in an uninspiring game at Old Trafford.

Kyle Walker’s attempted tackle on Rooney diverted into his own net to give the hosts the lead. There was little other goalmouth action, as debutant Sergio Romero denied Eriksen’s long-range strike.

Tottenham 3-0 Manchester United (10^th April, 2016 – Premier League)

Tottenham sent out a warning message to Leicester City, with an emphatic win over Manchester United.

Spurs scored three goals in a hectic six minutes to put a dent in United’s Champions League hopes. Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela were on the score sheet as the hosts moved within seven points of the Premier League leaders.
