Ahead of the FA Cup tie between Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa this weekend, we take a look at the last five meetings between the two sides.

Tottenham 3-0 Aston Villa (11^th May, 2014 – Premier League)

Tottenham Hotspur secured a place in the Europa League with a comfortable win over Aston Villa. Paulinho fired the hosts into a 14^th minute lead, before Nathan Baker headed Danny Rose’s cross into his own net. Spurs’ first half rout was completed in the 38^th minute when Emmanuel Adebayor converted from the penalty spot.

Defeat for Villa meant they finished their campaign in 15^th place.

Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham (2^nd November, 2014 – Premier League)

Tottenham completed a late turnaround at Villa Park to move into eighth in the Premier League table. Villa looked on course to cause an upset when Andreas Weimann gave Villa a shock lead, but Christian Benteke’s second-half red card allowed the visitors back into the game.

Spurs left it late as Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane scored in the final six minutes to secure all three points.

Tottenham 0-1 Aston Villa (11^th April, 2015 – Premier League)

10-man Aston Villa ran out winners at White Hart Lane to record their first win over Tottenham in thirteen attempts. Benteke headed home Leonardo Bacuna’s cross to give the visitors a first-half lead. Gabby Agbonlahor came close to doubling their lead but his strike hit the post.

Tim Sherwood’s side were reduced to 10 deep into stoppage time, when Carlos Sanchez picked up his second booking. The win saw Villa move into 15^th; while Spurs dropped down to seventh.

Tottenham 3-1 Aston Villa (2^nd November, 2015 – Premier League)

New Villa boss Remi Garde watched his side suffer their seventh consecutive Premier League defeat at White Hart Lane. Spurs were cruising in the first half and had a two goal lead courtesy of strikes from Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli.

However, Villa responded in the second half and pulled a goal back through Jordan Ayew. After some nervy moments for Spurs, Harry Kane struck an injury-time goal to put the game beyond doubt.

Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham (13^th March, 2016 – Premier League)

Spurs ramped up the pressure on Premier League leaders Leicester City with an emphatic win over Aston Villa. Harry Kane’s quick fire double secured Spurs’ sixteenth win of the season and moved them within two points of the Foxes.

Villa were left rooted to the bottom of the league, still nine points from safety.
