Ahead of their FA Cup meeting this weekend, we take a look at the last five meetings between Stoke City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves 2-1 Stoke (14^th August, 2010 – Premier League)

Wolverhampton Wanderers kicked off their season with a thrilling win over Stoke City at Molineux.

David Jones’ wonderful free-kick opened the scoring, before Steven Fletcher added a second to give the hosts a two-goal advantage at half time. Aboulaye Faye pulled one back for the Potters but Wolves held firm to secure all three points.

Wolves 0-1 Stoke (30^th January, 2011 – FA Cup fourth round)

A dramatic finish saw Stoke book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup. After a largely uneventful game, Robert Huth met Matthew Etherington’s cross to give Tony Pulis’ side an 81^st minute lead.

However, Wolves were given a chance to force a replay with just moments to spare, as Huth brought down Nenad Milijas in the penalty box. Milijas stepped up to take the penalty but it was saved by Thomas Sorensen.

Stoke 3-0 Wolves (26^th April, 2011 – Premier League)

Stoke piled the misery on Wolves with an emphatic victory at the Britannia Stadium. Goals from Kenwyne Jones, Ryan Shawcross and Jermaine Pennant helped the hosts ease past a flat Mick McCarthy side. The win saw Stoke move up to ninth in the table; while Wolves remained in the bottom three with just four games remaining.

Wolves 1-2 Stoke (17^th December, 2011 – Premier League)

Tony Pulis’ side fought back from a goal behind to condemn Wolves to a fourth defeat in five league games. Jonathan Woodgate hauled down Matt Jarvis to allow Stephen Hunt to give the visitors the lead from the penalty spot.

The Potters were given a route back into the game when Robert Huth’s free-kick struck Kevin Doyle and beat Wayne Hennessey in the Wolves’ goal. Peter Crouch then met Matthew Etherington’s cross to seal the win.

Stoke 2-1 Wolves (7^th April, 2012 – Premier League)

It was a similar story at the Britannia Stadium, as Stoke recovered from going a goal behind to beat relegation-threatened Wolves.

After Michael Knightly’s opener, Robert Huth and Peter Crouch both found the net to inspire another comeback from the hosts.
