Swansea City beat Stoke City 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City supporters took to Twitter to praise their side after they ended a six game winless run with a 2-0 victory over Stoke City.
Swansea went into an early lead when Fernando Llorente rose above Ryan Shawcross to score his first goal since his brace against Burnley last month. After Saido Berahino squandered two big chances for the visitors, Llorente was withdrawn for Dutch defender Mike van der Hoorn – much to the bemusement of some in the Liberty Stadium.
The defensive switch seemed to backfire on Swansea City boss Paul Clement as Xherdan Shaqiri won a penalty from Federico Fernandez. Fortunately for the hosts, however, Marko Arnautovic – who was offside in the build up to the spot-kick – gave the hosts a reprieve by blazing over the crossbar.
Moments later, Arnautovic’s – and the Potters’ – misery was compiled when Tom Carroll doubled Swansea’s advantage with a 25-year strike.

The win sees Clement’s men maintain their two-point gap from 17th place Hull City, who overcame Watford at the KCOM Stadium despite going down to ten men.
Next up for the Swans is a tough trip to Old Trafford, followed by a visit from high-flying Everton. Meanwhile, Hull City travel to Southampton before a crunch fixture with bottom of the league Sunderland.
