Football Manager 2017, the latest in the popular football management simulation series, released its winter update this week. As Leicester City try to fight clear of the relegation battle, let’s see how Football Manager have rated their progress:
Improvement
Demarai Gray is one of a few Leicester players to be handed an increase in ability on the FM17 winter update. The winger’s performances have been a bright spark in the Foxes’ season, and that has been reflected in a slight boost to his stats.
Left-back Ben Chiwell is the most improved senior player on the FM17 update. The 20-year-old has featured five times in the league so far this season.
Meanwhile, Kasper Schmeichel and Daniel Amartety have also been handed small increases to their ability on the game.
No improvement
The majority of Leicester player have been given a relatively big decreases in their FM17 stats, after a miserable run of resultd saw them drop into the relegation scrap.

Ron-Robert Zieler, who hasn’t featured in the league since December, is no longer rated higher than fellow ‘keeper Schmeichel. Summer signing Ahmed Musa has also seen his stats decline.
The first-choice Leicester back four which was pivotal to their title charge last campaign have all dropped in ability with FM17’s winter update. Christian Fuchs remains the highest rated defender, while Wes Morgan stats were lowered the most out of the four.
The biggest decline in ability in Leicester’s squad has been handed to Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani. Despite this drop, they remain the Foxes’ three highest rated players on FM17.
