Ahead of their meeting this weekend, we take a look back at the last five fixtures between Aston Villa and Fulham.

Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham (10^th March, 2012 – Premier League)

Villa ended a seven match winless run thanks to Andreas Weimann’s first Premier League goal. Fulham arrived at Villa Park in good form but the home side always looked more likely to break the deadlock. With time running out, Alex McLeish hauled off Charles N’Zogbia to boos from the home crowd. However, his decision was vindicated when N’Zogbia’s replacement tapped home the winner.

Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa (20^th October, 2012 – Premier League)

Villa’s worst start in the top flight since 1986 continued as Chris Baird goal handed Fulham the win with seven minutes to spare. Paul Lambert’s men should have drawn level moments later but Christian Benteke squandered an easy chance. The win meant Fulham maintained their impressive home form under Martin Jol with 10 wins out of their last 14 at Craven Cottage.

Aston Villa 1-1 Fulham (13^th April 2013 – Premier League)

A draw at Villa Park saw Fulham reach the 40-point mark but left Aston Villa only three points above the relegation zone. Paul Lambert’s side dominated and took the lead in the 54^tthminute through N’Zogbia. Villa looked set to ease their relegation worries heading into a tough run-in but Fabian Delph headed into his own net to gift Fulham a point.

Fulham 2-0 Aston Villa (8^th December, 2013 – Premier League)

Rene Meulensteen registered his first win in charge of Fulham beating an in-form Aston Villa. Steve Sidwell put Fulham ahead before referee Mike Dean awarded a soft penalty to allow Dimitar Berbatov to double their lead. The result saw Fulham remain in the bottom three while Villa stayed in 10th.

Aston Villa 1-2 Fulham (5^th April, 2014 – Premier League)

Fulham’s faint hopes of Premier League survival were given a boost by Hugo Rodallega’s late header. Felix Magath’s men had taken the lead through Kieran Richardson but were pulled back nine minutes later by a Grant Holt header.

Fulham pushed for a winner and Rodallega popped up with the 86th minute winner to end his personal goal drought. The win moved Fulham five points behind 17th placed Norwich City. Defeat saw Villa drop down to 13th in the league.
