We take a look at the last five meetings between West Ham United and Stoke City.

Stoke 3-1 West Ham (15th March, 2014 – Premier League)

Mark Hughes’ in-form Stoke City side came from a goal behind to defeat West Ham United. Andy Carroll headed the Hammers into a fifth-minute lead before Peter Odemwingie’s double helped Stoke fight back in style.

Marko Arnautovic also got on the score sheet, as the Potters moved above West Ham to 11th in the table.

Stoke 2-2 West Ham (1st November, 2014 – Premier League)

West Ham continued their flying start to the Premier League season with a two-goal comeback away to Stoke.

Victor Moses and Mame Biram Diouf had fired the home side into a comfortable lead. But after failing to register a shot in the first half, West Ham were given a lifeline when referee Chris Foy failed to penalise Alex Song’s tackle, and Enner Valencia scored from the resulting passage of play.

Foy’s decision proved decisive as the Hammers grabbed an equaliser when Stewart Downing’s strike beat Asmir Begovic.

West Ham 1-1 Stoke (11th April, 2015 – Premier League)

Marco Arnautovic’s injury-time equaliser denied West Ham their second win in ten Premier League matches.

Sam Allardyce’s side had taken an early lead through Aaron Cresswell’s wonderful free-kick but Stoke went on to dominate the game – registering 18 shots on target and 65 per cent possession.Their pressure paid off when Arnautovic popped up with a goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The result saw both teams stay level on 43 points, with West Ham’s superior goal difference placing them in ninth.

West Ham 0-0 Stoke (12th December, 2015 – Premier League)

West Ham’s winless run was extended to six games following a goalless draw with Stoke.

Marco van Ginkel came close for the visitors but it was the Hammers who had the majority of chances, only to be shut out by an in-form Jack Butland.

Stoke 2-1 West Ham (15th May, 2016 – Premier League)

Stoke capped off their 2015/6 campaign with a late win at the Britannia Stadium. Giannelli Imbula’s 20-yard strike cancelled out Michail Antonio’s opener before Diouf headed home an 88th-minute winner for the Potters.

Defeat meant West Ham finished in seventh place and faced an anxious wait to hear if they had secured European football. Meanwhile, victory ensured Stoke finished above 2014/5 Champions Chelsea in ninth.
