Liverpool and Derby County have contested 134 fixtures against each other, with the last meeting coming back in 2007.

Ahead of their EFL fixture, let’s take look back at their previous five encounters.
Liverpool 1-1 Derby (Premier League – 18th March, 2001)
An early Deon Burton goal gave Derby a surprise lead at Anfield. John Gregory’s side held on until the 52nd minute when Michael Owen converted a cross from Jari Litmanen to even the score. Both sides had chances to snatch the game late on but Emilie Heskey missed a golden chance in stoppage time to keep the game level.
Derby 0-1 Liverpool (Premier League – 1st December, 2001)
A Michael Owen goal helped Liverpool come away from Pride Park with all three points. Liverpool also had Jerzy Dudek to thank after he saved a penalty from Fabrizio Ravanelli. This was Liverpool’s first game following Robbie Fowler’s move to Leeds United and they held firm to retain their place at the top of the division.

Liverpool 2-0 Derby (Premier League – 20th April, 2002)
Owen continued his run of goals against Derby with a brace at Anfield. Owen was presented with the European Footballer of the Year Award before kick-off and celebrated in his typically clinical fashion. The result kept Gerrard Houllier’s side in the race for the title but also sealed Derby’s relegation to the First Division.

Liverpool 6-0 Derby (Premier League – 1st September, 2007)
Rafa Benitez’s side stormed past Deby to continue their impressive start to the season. A remarkable opener from Xabi Alonso set the tone, as goals from Ryan Babel, Andrei Voronin and a double from Fernando Torres gave Liverpool an emphatic victory. Billy Davies’ side could do little to prevent an impressive Liverpool side from moving to the top of the table.
Derby 1-2 Liverpool (Premier League – 26th December, 2007)
Steven Gerrard grabbed the winner at Pride Park to pile the misery on Paul Jewell’s side. Torres’ fantastic finish gave Liverpool the lead but Derby responded well and equalised through Jay McEvely. Derby pushed for the winner but Gerrard popped up with a late goal to deny struggling Derby a point.
