We take a look at the last five meetings between Burnley and West Bromwich Albion.

West Brom 2-1 Burnley (2^nd February, 2008 – Championship)

West Bromwich Albion kept their place at the top of the Championship after coming back from a goal down to beat Burnley.

Ex-Baggie James O’Connor gave the visitors an early lead before Albion fought back with goals from Bostjan Cesar and Roman Bednar.

Defeat saw Burnley drop to 17th in the table, while West Brom kept their two point lead over second-placed Watford.

West Brom 2-2 Burnley (29^th January, 2009 – FA Cup fourth round)

A last-gasp Martin Paterson goal rescued a replay for Burnley at The Hawthorns.

The Clarets had gone ahead through Graham Alexander’s penalty before Robert Koren’s wonderful strike and Do-heon Kim’s free-kick completed Albion’s turnaround.

But Tony Mowbray’s men could not hold on as Paterson tapped home an 89th-minute equaliser.

Burnley 3-1 West Brom (3^rd February, 2009 – FA Cup fourth round replay)

Steven Thompson’s double helped Burnley knock out their Premier League opposition in the replay at at Turf Moor.

Thompson and Wade Elliot put the hosts two-nil up in the first half. Gianni Zuiverloon 60th-minute strike only proved to be a consolation, as Thompson grabbed his second late on in the game.

West Brom 4-0 Burnley (28^th September, 2014 – Premier League)

The Baggies brushed aside Burnley to hand Alan Irvine his first win at the Hawthorns as Albion boss.

Craig Dawson, Graham Dorrans and a double from Saido Berahino gave Albion their biggest league win since 2012. The three points saw Irvine’s side jump to 10th in the table, while Burnley remained rooted to the bottom of the table.

Burnley 2-2 West Brom (8^th February, 2015 – Premier League)

Burnley couldn’t hold onto their two goal lead, as Albion recovered from a slow start at Turf Moor.

Ashley Barnes and Danny Ings put the Clarets two up before Chris Brunt’s goal on the stroke of half time gave the visitors hope.

Ideye Brown headed home the equaliser to ensure Albion remained three points clear of the relegation places. The draw meant Burnley climbed above Hull City and out of the drop zone.
