As the season draws to a close, we catch up with the players who left Stoke City this season.
Marc Wilson
Wilson’s six-year Potters stay ended with a move to Premier League rivals Bournemouth in August.
The versatile defender was restricted to cup appearances, scoring in the EFL Cup win over Morecombe, before joining West Bromwich Albion on-loan in January.
Despite being reunited with his former Stoke boss Tony Pulis, Wilson is still waiting to make his debut for the Baggies – and get his first Premier League minutes of the season.
Steve Sidwell
Sidwell could be back in the Premier League next season after securing automatic promotion with Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 34-year-old has been an important presence for the Seagulls, featuring in 32 league games for Chris Hughton’s side this campaign. He also scored a wonder-goal from the halfway line against Bristol City back in November. Sidwell’s Seagulls contract is set to run out in the summer.
Dionatan Teixeira
Teixeira signed for Romanian outfit Sheriff Tiraspol in February. The centre-back, who played 49 league minutes during his time at Stoke, has helped his new club to three wins and three clean sheets in his first four appearances.
Peter Odemwingie
The former West Bromwich Albion man has already played for two teams following his release in the summer.
Odemwingie, 35, signed for Championship strugglers Rotherham United in October. His Millers career got off to a rocky start after he picked up a red card 29 minutes into the Yorkshire derby game against Leeds United. The forward only featured three more times until his ill-fated stint ended in January.
Earlier this month, Odemwingie joined Indonesian side Persepam Madura United. He came off the bench to score a penalty in his debut against Bali United Busam.
